Prepare for the wedding. This was the next task after getting engaged to Nicole on the 20th of April 2016. When will it be? Where will we hold it? What type of wedding are we having? How much is the budget? How do I plan for this event?
Being innately introverts, it was a huge challenge for me and Nicole to plan for the wedding. For months, we pretended to ‘plan’ when all we did was talk about it. No decisions were made apart from the wedding date. Until a few months before the wedding, we realized that we can no longer procrastinate. We have to talk about it.
We asked ourselves, “Why are we getting married in the church, mount this big celebration and spend so much money? Why not have a 30-minute civil marriage with 12 guests and then, eat out on a decent restaurant?”
The latter option would have been the easy way out. After our deliberation, we chose the first option. We will get married in the church to profess our love in front of God, our family and friends. This event will be a celebration of our love and gratitude to everyone who has been part of our lives for the past 28 years.
After months of planning, our wedding day arrived- September 10, 2017.
We were overwhelmed with the presence and love of everyone who made our wedding possible. We are extremely grateful to each and everyone. THANK YOU.
Thank you to the POLICARPIO family, who taught me the value of FAMILY. To know that blood is thicker than water. To love the people who are closest to us. And for shaping my dad into what he is now. This in turn help me become the man that I am today. To hold myself in high standards. To strive becoming a better man tomorrow. You are the driving force that keeps me moving forward everyday. Thank you dad and I love you.
Thank you to the YALUNG family, who taught me that life shouldn’t be taken seriously. Emu seseryoswan in bie tung. Tumwa ka. Thank you for shaping the mom I have today. Lungub kami SM kalwal mi atin ne bayung friends. I envy mom’s charisma and PR skills. I seriously need some of that skill. Thank you ma for providing the warm love that gets me going whenever I’m down. To realize that there’s another day to conquer the world. I love you with all my heart.
To my SIBLINGS who are always there when I need a helping hand. Let us learn from our parents and continue to teach our children the values that our parents have instilled in us. Caluguran dakayu.
Thank you to the YAP family. I truly felt that I’m part of your wonderful family. Thank you for raising Prax into who she is now. The DNA of artistic expression, creativity and performance art lives on the YAP genes. Thank you for the happy times that we have shared together. I am excited to be part of your family.
Thank you to my DLSU and DBA friends. You guys were there during our formative years. You remind me that life should be lived with enthusiasm. To reminisce the past when we were YOUNG, DUMB and BROKE. And how it wasn’t so BAD. That life is never all about the MONEY but it’s about the RELATIONSHIPS we make.
Thank you to my STAR MAGIC WORKSHOP family. You will forever hold a special place in my heart. You taught me how to be vulnerable. To not be afraid of getting what I want in life. To be fearless. To jump when everyone is hesitating. To seize the day. To open up emotionally and not be afraid about it. The hunger to win. That fire will keep burning till the end of my days.
KAPAMPANGAN CINEMA MOVEMENT brothers and sisters thank you letting me be a part of this movement. I have learned that PASSION truly brings out the best in us. That we can create ART if we just LOVE it hard enough. Luid ing Pelikulang Capampangan.
Thank you to my RDPCI / RImaven family. I have learned so much working with you. You have been there since day one. Back when what we knew about our craft was close to zero. We were stupid enough to think that we can make it happen. But I have learned that LEARNING starts with the naive belief that we can do it. To be delusional. To have that drive to make it work. Let us continue learning being better at our craft.
Thank you to my YAP family – for the gift of FAMILY. Vacations, gatherings and time spent with you are always wonderful because of genuine love and care we have for each other. Thank you for shaping Papa to who he is now – an honest, sincere, hard-working and loving man, which allowed me to be who I am today. I love you, Pa.
Thank you to my TAGLE family for showing me how to have fun with life and at the same time sharing the bitter-sweet wisdom of life that keeps me grounded. Thank you for shaping Mama into who she is now – a strong, confident, passionate and loving woman, which allowed me to be who I am today. I love you, Ma.
Thank you to my SISTERS. Thank you for always being there. I feel so blessed to know that I have at least 3 people whom I can be comfortable to be myself. Know that I am always here for you. I love you.
Thank you to the POLICARPIO family for welcoming me to your wonderful family. Thank you for accepting me to your home, for the many stories we shared and for raising an amazing man, whom I just married today. I am excited to to be officially part of your family.
Thank you to my AMC, ST. SCHO and ATENEO friends whom I shared a lot of memories during my formative years. Thank you for the friendship that we have forged. May we continue to create more memories as we traverse this journey of life.
Thank you to my UNILEVER family who guided me during my 20’s as I shifted my life from school to ‘real’ life. Thank you for the trust and confidence you have extended to me. I will always be grateful for the opportunities, experiences, learnings and the friendships you have gifted me with.
