I finally used the calligraphy tools I bought after 10 months. And I enjoy using them so much!
I did not want to use them at first since I had no idea how to use the beautiful tools I bought – inks, nibs, papers, nib holders.
I thought that I needed to research first – how to use them and how to be good at it. I wanted my piece to be beautiful. I was afraid to make a mess.
Months passed; I forgot about the untouched tools.
Until my sister borrowed them from me this week. I saw her create beautiful calligraphy. I was amazed how easily she learned how to use them.
I asked for her help. And it turned out, it was not hard at all.
After learning what I thought was the most difficult part, which was learning how to write with the calligraphy pen, I enjoyed doodling different fonts and typography.
It was not hard as I thought it would be- no need for extensive research nor pressure my self to produce a perfect piece. All I had to do was ask for help and keep the process simple and fun.
